The Palestinian Red Crescent has sounded a dire alarm over the escalating humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, where a continuing famine policy threatens the lives of thousands of patients, children, and civilians.
In an urgent statement, the Palestinian Red Crescent reported that the famine gripping Gaza has already claimed numerous lives, with children comprising the majority of the casualties.
“The lives of thousands more Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are at imminent risk due to the ongoing famine,” the organization warned, emphasizing the severity of the situation.
The statement further urged immediate international intervention to lift the blockade and ensure the continuous entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza. “Without serious measures to break the blockade and allow the uninterrupted flow of aid, thousands more lives will remain in grave danger,” it read.
Recent statistics about the martyrs and wounded in the Gaza Strip indicate that since the beginning of the Zionist regime’s attacks on Gzaz, 39,258 Palestinians have lost their lives, and 90,589 have been injured.
