The Congressman claimed that the true driver of this war is not national security but rather the enrichment of major military contractors and oil giants. McGovern added, in a sharp tone, that instead of keeping America safe, Trump is making his billionaire cronies—big oil and military contractors—wealthier. “Enough is enough,” he stated, referencing the theory of the military-industrial complex, where overseas conflicts serve as a revenue source for major defense corporations.
