Zakir Jalali, the third political head of the Taliban’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, emphasized that Israel has failed in the war of narratives against the Palestinians.
In his most recent statements, Zakir Jalali referred to the significance of the war of narratives in today’s world and stated that the Israeli regime, despite all its military, political, and media support, has failed in defeating the Palestinian narrative.
Referring to the martyrdom of Yahya Sinwar, one of the prominent leaders of Palestinian resistance, he said, “Today’s war is a war of narratives, and the Palestinians are winning in this field. The Israeli regime cannot defeat the Palestinian narrative, even with all the resources at its disposal.”
Jalali continued by saying that the martyrdom of Yahya Sinwar not only strengthened the Palestinian cause but, in this battlefield, he has in a way won. “Sinwar became immortal, and with his martyrdom, this war of narratives will continue.”
These statements by Jalali, in light of the recent developments on various fronts in Palestine and the way Palestinians portray their resistance globally and in the media, are significant and underscore the crucial role of media and narrative in achieving political and social goals.
