Today, the gathering of special representatives from Afghanistan’s neighboring nations alongside Russia took place in Tehran, with Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi delivering the opening remarks. This meeting comes as Afghanistan continues to grapple with significant security and political crises.

Mohammad Sadiq, Pakistan’s special representative for Afghanistan, announced via social media after the session that Pakistan has firmly raised its concerns over terrorist threats. He stressed the importance of regional cooperation for ensuring security and sustainable development in Afghanistan.

During the meeting, participants emphasized the vital need to promote peace, development, and security in the region. Also present was Ubaid-ur-Rehman Nizamani, the Pakistani ambassador to Kabul, who highlighted the importance of coordination among neighboring countries to maintain peace and stability in Afghanistan.
