Qamar Javed Bajwa, chief of staff of the Pakistan Army, said the performance of the Taliban-led government has not been satisfactory so far, but we must be patient and adaptable.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>He said the decades-long conflict in Afghanistan had hurt Pakistan&#8217;s economy, society and security, so Pakistan wants to work closely with the international community to pursue peace and stability in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n<p>Bajwa added that the cessation of foreign aid and the continuation of sanctions had created a humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n<p>According to statistics, more than half of Afghanistan&#8217;s population is currently starving.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gen.
