Ariana News Agency: EU Special Representative for Afghanistan Thomas Nicholson tweeted: “Afghan women should be considered an equal partner in any process related to Afghanistan. Afghan women should be allowed to speak for themselves and be represented.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

The EU Special Representative for Afghanistan said that these issues have been identified as a priority in the recent meeting of Afghan women with the European Union.<\/p>\n

On the occasion of March 8, International Women’s Day, the EU Delegation to Afghanistan emphasized the equal and meaningful participation of women in public life for the development of Afghanistan and stated that in the face of an economic crisis in this country, women should be allowed to work.<\/p>\n

The agency, citing a report by the United Nations Development Program, said that banning women from working would slow Afghanistan’s economic growth.
