Ariana News Agency: The International Federation of Journalists announced the closure of 153 Afghan media outlets after the Taliban took control of the country.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) has expressed concern over the growing violence against media workers in Afghanistan, saying that 153 media outlets have been shut down since the Taliban took control of Afghanistan.<\/p>\n

The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) also said in a report that 7,000 media workers had been affected by the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan.<\/p>\n

The report emphasizes that women journalists have been sacked by the group.<\/p>\n

The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) has added that the release of about 1,000 criminals from Afghan prisons by the Taliban has raised concerns about the safety of journalists. The reason for this is the coverage of the detention process of these criminals during the previous government’s term.<\/p>\n

The federation has also expressed concern about the increasing detention, confiscation of equipment and the increasing torture and harassment of journalists in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n
