The district of Kamdish in Nuristan province is currently the scene of armed confrontations between the Taliban government and its armed opponents. The Taliban\u2019s Ministry of Defense has reported that in a recent operation, 28 insurgents were killed and 32 others were captured.<\/p>\n

The Taliban claim these individuals are primarily former military personnel who fled to Pakistan and underwent training by the Pakistani army and intelligence services to disrupt security in Nuristan. However, this accusation has not been addressed by Pakistani officials.<\/p>\n

Response from the Afghanistan Freedom Front<\/h2>\n

In response, the Afghanistan Freedom Front stated that the clashes began on Saturday morning following Taliban assaults on their positions. This group claims to have inflicted significant casualties on the Taliban and asserted control over areas in Kamdish and parts of the Nari district in Kunar province.<\/p>\n
