A special military operation in the Kamdesh district of Nuristan province has successfully thwarted the attempts of ISIS and Pakistani militant groups, effectively clearing the area of their presence.

Military Operation in Nuristan: ISIS Tactics Foiled

A targeted military operation took place in the Kamdesh district of Nuristan province aimed at preventing the infiltration of ISIS militants and Pakistani fighters. The coordinated efforts of the insurgents were completely unsuccessful. Sources in Kabul provided information to Ariana News, stating that the armed groups intended to cross the Durand Line to create instability and destruction within Kamdesh.

During the conflict, several ISIS militants and Pakistani operatives were killed, wounded, or captured. Following the operation, the area was thoroughly cleared of insurgent elements. Reports suggest that any remaining fighters, after facing defeat, retreated back across the Durand Line to their bases.

Nuristan: A Vulnerable Region

The mountainous province of Nuristan in eastern Afghanistan has long been recognized as a vulnerable area due to its border with Pakistan. The movements of armed groups along this disputed boundary raise significant security concerns for the region. Kabul and Islamabad have repeatedly accused each other of using their territories to launch attacks against the other, which has created fundamental challenges between the two nations.

Further details regarding casualty figures, the identities of those captured, and the exact timing of the incident are not currently available. However, the recent operation demonstrates that Afghanistan’s security forces are serious about maintaining safety and countering terrorist threats in border areas.

A recent military operation in the Kamdesh district of Nuristan province has effectively dismantled an ISIS and Pakistani militant presence, thwarting their plans to instigate chaos in the region.
