Randheer Jaiswal, the spokesperson for India’s Ministry of External Affairs, stated that the country’s interaction with the Taliban is continuously expanding. Jaiswal emphasized that humanitarian assistance and developmental cooperation are central to this engagement. He also noted a significant increase in India’s interactions with Afghanistan over the past year.<\/p>\n

He referenced the presence of Anand Prakash, who heads the Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Iran division in the Ministry, at an event celebrating the Taliban’s return to power, highlighting that Prakash attended on behalf of the Indian government.<\/p>\n

India has a long-standing relationship with the Afghan people, and current interactions encompass diplomatic discussions, humanitarian support, and developmental projects.
